A live cinematic carnival re-wind as Blackout Arts re-imagines 'Stroll In The Park' a performance on the same day by the famous anarchical street theatre company Desperate Men. With projections, performers and music criss-crossing Castle Park in pursuit of after hours light(bulb) entertainment, A Stroll In The Dark offers dynamic flashbacks of the dayÍs events, as the performers, scientists, artists and mayhem repeats itself: backwards, twisted, re-scored and time travelled.
A series of on-site film vignettes, commissioned, produced and directed by Blackout Arts are mixed with found-footage sourced in accordance with the themes of the event and edits from two live cameras capturing the antics of the day. Using a specially designed mobile ïmedia wagonÍ, incorporating a PA, sound desk, VJ desk and high-powered video projector, the procession splays images on to a moving screen, trees, buildings and people, while live buskers intervene to accompany the score of sourced sound and music.
