KISS THE CHAOS; An archive of artist-run cinemas

'Kiss The Chaos' is an ongoing audio archive project begun in 2005 by Ali Sparror. Since documenting the idiosyncracies of Bristol's Cube Microplex it has gone on to interview the people of Star & Shadow in Newcastle, Cine Nova in Brussels, and Artists' Television Access in San Francisco.

Kiss The Chaos is an exploration of artist-organised culture. It invites these artist-volunteer enthusiasts to reflect upon the platform they create and maintain -outside the mainstream media and beyond the funding landscape. It raises issues surrounding alternative economies, cooperative organisation, post-apocalyptic programming, DIY and radical ownership of your own public institution.

This audio presentation will take place in authentic B.S.C. conditions in the atmospheric cube theatre....where the audio will become a sensory overload and the images are as strong as your imagination.

Images and a discussion will accompany the show.
