ASHTON COURT MENU: intro | 2006 | 2005 | 2004 | 2003 | 2002
Prior to its tragic demise in 2007 due to unmanageable debts inflicted by re-location, merciless rain and subsequent cancellation, Ashton Court Festival was the South West's largest and most prestigious community music and multi-arts event. It ran for over 30 years, taking place each year at Bristol's attractive Ashton Court Estate: an immense rural site within walking distance of the city.
From 2002 to 2007 Blackout Arts coordinated a performance/presentation space called BLACKOUT - an extensively equipped stage-focused sound and projection environment in a darkened marquee. The event provided a platform for exploratory single and mixed-media arts practice, including performance and installation-based sound, film and live-art.
