ASHTON COURT MENU: intro | 2006 | 2005 | 2004 | 2003 | 2002
The Blackout tent this year more than another was filled with Bristol and we made a film based on some Ashton Court Mansion histories too.
The set up for this year's festival was the best. No hitches, right tent and specs. The crew where well prepared and the artists that contributed seemed to put in extra work this year to hit the back of the tent, to move people and to confront the idle spectator. After 5 years we think that the Blackout tent has gained a reputation and people have risen to this.
Despite the anxious, feel bad critics digging at the festival it seemed a good year, but it has to keep up its localness to keep it distinct.
Techno found it's home again.
Throughout the festival Blackout Arts in association with www.micro-film.org sent film clips, video blips, and AV treats, beamed straight to enabled mobiles. It received over 30 films back which were broadcast at the end of Sunday night.
