ASHTON COURT MENU: intro | 2006 | 2005 | 2004 | 2003 | 2002
Blackout is the darkened heart of the Ashton Court Festival. A space, programmed by Blackout Arts, beating with far-out light projections, films of all sizes from all people, deranged musicians, seminars, re-scores, art-rockers, artists on the fly and mixed media melts. A heady amalgamation of dazzlingly entertaining art: live, recorded and processed to bits.
Bear witness to more tales of the unexpected than imagined. Archive optical effects, film poetry, absurdist theatre, post-rave rejects, cross border exchanges, feral noise, magik hour music, carnival mash up and bugged out digi-tall tales. This year Blackout is about experiencing outsider revelations of the 3rd Kind. Welcome.
